Practitioner Forum
W2W Solutions' Practitioner Forum has been set up for delivery staff and managers within the Welfare to Work and adult skills and training sector to share ideas, problems, latest news, policy updates, their experiences, good practice. Membership is limited to people who currently work within the sector or have a professional interest, to provide a platform for discussion, debate and communication. The forum is NOT a platform for public debate and users must work within the sector or be able to show a genuine and legitimate interest to join.
To keep the Forum secure:
- users need to register, supplying a verifiable work email address*
- our administrators will approve the account as appropriate
- you will receive log in information as soon as the account has been approved
- you will be required to re-register periodically to ensure that this does remain a practitioner's Forum
You can set up any user name you wish, so can retain your anonymity. The Forum content can be read by any visitor, but only members are allowed to create topics and reply to posts. We do have private disussion boards which can only be seen by members, so if you are a member do log in to see all content. If members would rather the entire Forum was hidden then do let us know and if that's the view of the majority of members then we will make it private.
As we don't have the luxury of dedicated staff to police the forum, the content will not be moderated. You will be able to report inappropriate posts and we will take firm action. Users are required to post in a professional and appropriate manner and anyone found to be abusing this will have their membership revoked. Besides that, there are no restrictions, but you are advised not to share commercial secrets or information that your employer would not be happy to have in the public arena!
This Forum is a different format to the industry standards but hopefully you'll be able to navigate it fairly easily. In summary:
- W2W Solutions Administrators set up discussion boards to group subject areas (if you want any new ones let us know);
- Users create topics within the discussion board;
- Other users post replies to the topics;
- Users can view a list of members by user name, date joined and number of posts;
- Users can email members direct (unless you set your profile to not receive them - if you use this function your email address will be known to the recipient);
- Users can private message each other (unless you change your profile to not receive them).
If you wish to become a member click here to access the forum and follow the Register link. At busy times we may take 24 hours to process your registration but that's the price you'll have to pay for a private dedicated Practioner Forum.
We hope that you will use this secure place to share knowledge, ideas and gossip to improve communications across the industry.
*Personal email addresses or those that cannot be verified will not be accepted. If you feel that you have a bonafide and professional interest and can make a case for using an alternative email address this will be considered on a case by case basis. We will only use the email address supplied to confirm your log in details and will not use it for any other correspondence. Also see our Data Protection policy for information. W2W Solutions is registered with the ICO.
