Work Programme Market Share Shift

Market Share Shift has finally arrived in the Work Programme.

DWP has reviewed the market shares of Work Programme providers, based on their performance in the 12 months ending 31 March 2013, with shares being adjusted from August 2013.  The adjustment affects all future referrals to the Work Programme in the relevant payment groups, where 5% of referrals will be diverted to the highest performing provider from the lowest performing provider.  Payment Groups 1 (JSA Claimants aged 18 to 24), 2 (JSA Claimants aged 25+), and 6 (New ESA Claimants) are impacted by this policy, as these groups had a minimum performance level assigned at the outset of the contract.

Ingeus, G4S, EOS Works and Serco have gained market share from Seetec, A4e, Avanta, Newcastle College Group and Interserve Working Futures.  See below for full details:
