Work Programme Latest Data

DWP have today released the latest adhoc analysis into the Work Programme performance with headline statistics on the number of referrals and attachments to the Work Programme. The figures released today are the same as those released earlier this year eg to January 2012.  They do however provide an additional breakdown of all 23 customer groups rather than the headline groups available via the DWP tabulation tool.

Additional data has been released regarding sanctions for the same period.

The data also shows that 22,260 Jobseekers Allowance claimants were sanctioned between 1 June 2011 and 31 January 2012 for Failing to Participate in the Work Programme. There were 91 thousand referrals for JSA sanctions, of which 33 thousand resulted in an adverse decision; 34 thousand received a favourable decision and 25 thousand were cancelled or reserved to be reviewed/ applied on a future benefit claim.
