Record Unemployment

Today has seen the publication of the latest unemployment figures and it doesn't make pleasant reading, with unemployment hitting it's highest level since 1994 (2.53 million) in the three months to the end of January.  The jobless rate is now 8%, the highest since 1996 with 16-24 year olds suffering from an unemployment rate of 20.6% and 18-24 year olds an all-time high at 18.3%.  Not a good time to be young in Britain!
