The shortlist of bidders for phase 1 of the DWP Community Task Force contracts have been announced along with details of ITT events that will be held in Birmingham in the middle of September. The ITT events aren't just for the shortlisted organisations but also anyone looking to working with potential Prime Contractors, so visit the DWP website for details.
The Community Task Force is part of the Young Persons Guarantee for the 18-24 age group approaching the 12 month point of their JSA claim. It will be available from January 2010 with the last clients being referred on 31st March 2011. CTF provides for a 6 month work experience placement that is of benefit to the community and is for 25 hours a week with an additional 5 hours jobsearch.

The current tendering round covers the fND phase 1 areas, with phase 2 bidding expected to commence in the autumn.
